Your Summer at a Glance
End of May
Summer kicks off in Chicago, the last week of May with an all-staff training trip.
June And July
You’ll head to your mission site!
Every week one youth group team will join you for their mission trip. You’ll be facilitating the trip, investing in the students, partnering with local ministries and growing your leadership.
With the help of your intern, you’ll lead each week of trips.
Beginning of August
Reunite with all of the interns and staff for a debrief experience.Â
You’ll worship together, tell stories, rest, eat great food, and have a ton of fun.
Summer Fundraising
We ask trip leaders to raise their own salary, up to $6,000. Once you arrive, all of your expenses are covered.
Here’s why we ask you to raise support:
This is a missions opportunity and, just like any missionary, you’ll be raising funds that will support you and your missions work throughout the summer. Your willingness to raise support reflects your investment in the work God is going to do this coming summer and your part in it!
So, before you write us off, here are 3 things to consider:
Hi, I’m Brenda. I have served in youth ministry since I was in college, and I have been on/led several mission trips over the years.
I love the role I now have at LeaderTreks, supporting and equipping the interns and trip leaders as they lead our summer trips.
MY FAVORITE PART OF STUDENT MISSION TRIPS:
It’s so amazing to see the way students come alive when they step out of their comfort zone and realize that God is with them in the work.
