In our years of experience in youth ministry, we’ve realized students need to be ready to change before they can address shortcomings in their own character. This tool for encouraging godly character growth is based on the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22–23). In addition, three readiness-for-change factors are measured: attitude, awareness, and accountability. The results will indicate if students are ready to address their character in light of the fruit of the Spirit, or if they need to continue to develop their readiness to change.
The Leadership Discovery Series packages seven unique student-oriented profiles designed to help youth workers identify and develop student leaders in their group. Each profile contains an assessment for students to complete, as well as several growth strategies to apply what students learn about themselves. All of these tools combine to form the bricks and mortar of what we envision as the Leadership House—a place where leadership can grow and thrive. The Leadership House is multi-level and the materials are divided into two distinct tracks: Self Leadership Track and Team Leadership Track.
