A Vision for Student Leaders

By Doug Franklin October 26, 2009

It’s my belief that youth ministry needs to be focused on student leadership development. If we develop students as leaders now, the church will reap the benefits in the future. When I ask church leaders what they need most, I always hear the same answer: leaders. Our culture is changing rapidly; the church is getting creative and really changing fast. All of these indicators tell me we are going to need a fresh crop of seasoned leaders. It’s NOT okay to shy away from leadership development just because you don’t feel like you understand it or because you question your own leadership skills. You can learn with your students. Don’t be afraid – LeaderTreks will help you. Take a risk and see the long-term difference it can make in the kingdom if you start developing leaders.
