Delegation Wows
Ever delegate a task to someone and have them do a terrible job? There are so many wrong ways to respond. Complaining, talking behind their back, blaming them and the list can go on and on. There is only one good way to deal with this situation and it’s to coach. When we have given responsibility to another leader and they have failed, it’s our job as leaders to step in and turn a lose into a win. We do this by helping them understand what what went wrong and how to avoid this problem in the future. It’s also important to offer care and accountability. Often after a bad leadership experience young leaders will want to quit, so make sure your coaching comes with lots of love and care.
