Focus on Faith

By Doug Franklin April 25, 2011

Most youth ministries will go for one more month before starting summer programing. Many groups will run towards June hoping for the year to end, but a few will find a unique spring mission and actually finish strong. My suggestion for groups that want to run to summer is focus on faith. Due you realize that many students spend their whole adolescence in church and no one ever asks them if they know Christ as their Lord and Savior? Just think about for a minute: when was the last time your ministry asked every student if they had a relationship with Jesus? I like May for this focus because your adults have spent all year building relationship with students. Now is the time for them to get one-on-one with students and ask this important question. It can produce momentum and revival. Challenge your adults to use every small group time for the next month to engage with students over this important question of their personal faith.
