Setting Your Small Group Coaching Schedule

Here’s a sample coaching schedule to give you an idea of a small group coaching year. Keep in mind that each church is different and your busy times might fall in different places than shown. This calendar is structured based on the idea the coach has three small groups under his care.

September:

-Small group kick off (cast vision, set expectations, give a job description)

October:

-Visit small group #1

-One on one with small group #1 leader

-Small training meeting

November:

-Visit small group #2

-One on one with small group #2 leader

-Small training meeting

December:

-Visit small group #3

-One on one with small group #3 leader

January:

-Small training meeting

February:

-Visit small group #1

-One on one with small group #1 leader

-Small training meeting

March:

-Visit small group #2

-One on one with small group #2 leader

-Small training meeting

April:

-Visit small group #3

-One on one with small group #3 leader

May:

-Small training meeting

June:

-Touch base and encourage each small group leader

August:

-Small group leader training
