We’re Closed

By Doug Franklin May 4, 2010

I go to a church that closes every month. One Sunday a month we’re closed and we go out together and serve in our community. This past weekend I spend Sunday morning at a public school doing landscaping. The school’s in our area and they don’t have the money to keep up the outside of their building. Our church told them we’d handle it. We also help the families that can’t afford class pictures or snow pants for their kids so they can go out for recess. We also help families who are emigrating to our county to get settled or learn to drive. We are up for doing anything. The funny part are the questions we get from other churches, like, “when do you collect the offering?” or “would you consider your church to be a missional church?”
