Leaving Space

Ever notice how visionaries often times don’t want accountability? They want to be able to dream and press their agenda with followers who only ask “anything else you need?” I have known someone like this … me. I love to create the agenda of everyone around me based on my values and my priorities. I love it when people want to go at my speed — fast. A few years back I realized I was hurting people, not helping my vision. So I started to make space for others’ values and priorities. It means I go slower but it also means I have more followers. Leave space for others’ values by getting to know their values and giving them opportunities to live them out.
