Nothing Compares To You

By Doug Franklin January 16, 2014

If God has called you into youth ministry, He has also given you all you need to serve students and families.

Too often I meet youth workers who have doubts about themselves, their abilities, and their calling; doubts that lead to isolation and lack of confidence. They think other youth workers are doing everything right. They compare themselves and feel inadequate. They end up feeling like they have no value to the church.  ID-100211541

Youth workers: please understand that if God has called you into ministry, He will not leave you unequipped. He has you there for a reason, and He has gifted you with want He wants to give to the students at your church. You are not like other youth workers because your students are not like other youth workers’ students. God knows your community of faith, and He has sent you there because He has a plan for your students.

Stop trying to be like other youth workers. Being a leadership mimic will never work for you. You will be the best leader possible when you lead from who you are.

Feel valued because you are valued by the One who loves you and redeemed you for His purpose and plan.
