Three Things Leaders Never Do

By Doug Franklin August 27, 2009

They never put the mission before people
God has a plan to save the world and it’s you and me! That mission is amazing and powerful, and can easily seem more important than people. Remember, the mission is people. As leaders, we must always be balancing the mission God has given us, with the people God has given us. At LeaderTreks we say Mission First – People Always

They never put themselves first

Leaders understand that they live in an upside down pyramid. They lead from the bottom, holding up the team with words of inspiration and encouragement, realizing that vision is more powerful when it’s accompanied by actions.

They never stop sharing the vision
Leaders understand that people follow vision. If I asked the staff at LeaderTreks to follow me, boy would they be disappointed. I am a failure in motion; I make more mistakes than everyone here. If I want them to stay through hard times, then I need them following our vision because our vision comes from God and it sustains them in hard times. Share your vision every chance you get.
