Trust is given

So often I hear people tell me that others need to earn their trust. Makes sense, if people are good to us we will trust them. But that’s not the way God deals with us. God entrusted us with the mission of bringing the Good news to people we interact with. His trust even came with a helper. Have we done something to earn this trust? No, just the opposite, so why do we require other people to earn our trust?

I have come to realize it’s no fun waiting for others to earn my trust; I am just giving it away. I am going to let others have it for free and require nothing of them. I got to tell you, I feel great!
